The footprint of the raised beds is 12’x12′, so I can build a hoop house over it in the future. I built the raised beds using some scrap lumber from a neighbor’s old fence.
They’re still a work in progress. Since it’s full-on Summer in North Texas, I’m adding plants with the fall garden in mind.
As you can see in a few of the pictures, I have everything on drip irrigation, which has helped a lot during the heat of the summer. The shade cloth is on adjustable tent poles, and looks very make-shift, but it also makes a big difference.
